About GrabGuides

Practical knowledge, affordable prices, real results.

Our Story

GrabGuides was founded with a simple idea: practical knowledge shouldn't cost a fortune. We create digital guides that solve real everyday problems, from meal prep to budgeting, fitness to mental health. Every guide is built on research, tested by real people, and designed to be actionable from page one.

We're not gurus or influencers. We're a small team of researchers, writers, and designers who believe that a well-organized PDF can change your daily routine more than a $200 course ever could.

Meet the founder

Alex Whelan, founder of GrabGuides

Alex Whelan spent five years (2017-2022) as a product manager at a learning-design agency, building curriculum tools for companies that charged their customers four figures for a PDF and a Zoom call. On the side, she kept a spreadsheet-based meal prep system she'd built to survive a stretch of 60-hour weeks. When a coworker borrowed it, then another, then the whole company Slack, and the messages kept coming ("do you have one for budgeting? for puppy training?"), she realized the thing people actually wanted was a well-organized guide they could use on a Tuesday night, not another course.

She left in 2022 to start GrabGuides. The brief hasn't changed since: practical, research-backed guides for the messy transitions in life (burnout, a new puppy, a first home, a new budget) that don't require signing up for a $99 course or a subscription.

Our Approach

Research-Backed

We don't make claims without evidence. Every guide is grounded in credible sources and real-world data, not opinions or trends.

Actionable

Every page has something you can do today. No fluff, no filler. You open a GrabGuide and immediately know what to do next.

Affordable

We price guides so everyone can access them. Life-changing information shouldn't require a big investment — just the willingness to use it.

Our editorial standards

Every guide and article on GrabGuides is written by a named author with relevant credentials, grounded in primary sources (peer-reviewed research, government data, or named practitioners), and reviewed on a rolling cycle so the advice stays current. If we get something wrong, we correct it on the page with a dated note. Affiliate products are disclosed inline; we only recommend tools our writers actually use or would recommend to a friend.
